It was a compelling statement Marina Summers had just made on the stage of Drag Race UK vs. The World who have already mastered the art of making an impact since her international Drag journey–this time, a fusion of tradition, culture, and Drag fashion was seen through the talents and beauty of Marina Summers who entered the top 4 of the competition after showing the world her impactful Drag performance wearing a traditional Yakan bridal garment by Erich Miñoza adorned with the stunning and rare jewelry pieces of LVNA that accentuated this overall meaningful traditional aesthetics in the styling of Paul Sese.

Yakan are indigenous people in the Philippines known from the land of Sulu Archipelago who traditionally wear colorful and handwoven garments. Representing the entire Philippines in everything she does–indeed, Marina Summers did not come to play but to win and to showcase every part, every aspect, and all kinds of beauty of the Philippines through her. “I feel honored and blessed to have been able to share this traditional Yakan wedding ceremony attire (one of the Philippines’ many ethnic groups) on the world’s stage of @dragraceukbbc. From Luzon, to Visayas and now Mindanao. I meant it when I say I wanted to represent the entire country.”
Even from the beginning, Marina Summers has always been one of the front runners in the competition and recently, Marina became one of the Drag Race UK vs. The World Season 2 finalists with other drag queen participants Tia Kofi of the United Kingdom, La Grande Dame of France, and Hannah Conda of Australia. For this another winning look of Marina Summers that made her to the top 4, the talents of Tiny Deluxe and Margaux Bertrand who creatively and perfectly done Marina’s hair and makeup enhanced and completed the whole look.
